Story
The Colorado Buffaloes football program won one national championship in football for the 1990 season in which the team went 11-1-1 and beat Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl 10-9. The Buffs were coached by head coach Bill McCartney, who led them to a 7-0 record in the Big Eight Conference and Number 1 in the final Associated Press poll.
