Since every project is different, the first step in creating your own impressive moss landscape with Mountain Moss is to schedule a site consultation with Mossin’ Annie. There are a number of considerations as you plan your project - appropriate species for your intended microclimate and commitment/willingness to provide supplemental watering. During your site consult, Annie listens to your vision of the project while viewing the area you wish to landscape, making suggestions about the types of mosses that would work best, and her ideas for any special features or logistical concerns. Clients may decide to proceed with their own DIY project or to engage the professional landscaping services of Mountain Moss for a turn-key installation. When provided with your budget parameters and intended scope, Annie will prepare a project proposal and work plan for your consideration.

Base price for a local site consult is $125. In addition, $1 per mile round-trip is charged to cover driving expenses IF site location is less than an hour from Brevard, NC. This is what we call “local” pricing. Since we live in the mountains, drive time on these roads can take over an hour although actual trip mileage is relatively low. If you are outside a 30-mile radius of Brevard, our fees increase to $150 and up. However, if Annie happens to be in your town for a lecture, she will gladly work with you to give “local” price.
